Sweet
oranges, Citrus sinensis, as a food, is a good source of Vitamin C. The
essential oil, extracted form the ripe fruit peel, contains none.
Traditionally sweet orange oil has been used as an antidepressant, a
diuretic that may help reduce cellulite, and as an appetite stimulate
that may be helpful in managing anorexia nerovsa.
Depressive
moods - vaporize 3 drops of sweet orange oil in a vaporizer. Or make an
enlivening spritz by adding 3 drops of orange essential oil to 1 pint
of filtered water. Use an atomizer to spritz.
Lack
of appetite - stimulate appetite by vaporizing 3 drops of orange
essential oil in the dining area or kitchen.
Cellulite
- add 3 drops of orange essential oil to 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
Gently massage into the legs with small circular motions, moving
upwards from ankles to thigh. This will stimulate lymph movement and
help reduce cellulite.
